Esb Programmer Jobs (NOW HIRING)

Purpose

Design, develop, integrate, and troubleshoot complex software applications, data integration solutions, and automated workflows supporting enterprise computer-based systems. This position is responsible for software development, ETL processes, systems integration, automation, technical support, and user training while ensuring data integrity, operational efficiency, and reliable system performance.

Essential Functions

· Software Development

o Perform requirements gathering, business process analysis, systems design, coding, testing, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise software applications.

o Design, develop, troubleshoot, and enhance Ventraq software applications and support enterprise systems.

o Design and implement enhancements and new modules for existing systems.

o Estimate development effort, develop implementation schedules, and adjust priorities to meet business requirements.

o Participate throughout the software development lifecycle, including:

§ Design

§ Development

§ Testing

§ Deployment

§ Production Support

· Data Integration & ETL

o Ingest, transform, validate, and reconcile data from multiple external vendors to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compatibility with enterprise systems.

o Design, develop, and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes (Pentaho Data Integration preferred)

o Develop and maintain data transformation logic, interface mappings, and automated integration workflows.

o Coordinate with external vendors to resolve data discrepancies and interface issues.

o Ensure data quality through validation, reconciliation, and exception handling.

· Automation & Systems Integration

o Develop Custom Steps and Background Jobs to automate repetitive business processes and scheduled system functions.

o Develop and maintain software using:

§ Java and JavaScript

§ SQL (queries, stored procedures, and database development)

§ Perl scripting

§ Windows Batch (BAT) scripting

§ Pentaho Data Integration and Pentaho Report Designer

o Develop integrations within enterprise systems and SOA/ESB environments.

o Troubleshoot and optimize automated processes for performance and reliability.

· Systems Support

o Provide technical support for enterprise applications and operational stakeholders and their customers

o Troubleshoot software, data, workflow, and integration issues.

o Collaborate with end users, engineering staff, vendors, and support to resolve production issues.

o Provide technical input for testing, documentation, and implementation of new functionality.

o Develop new processes and automation solutions as technologies and business needs evolve.

· Training & Documentation

o Develop technical documentation, user guides, and training materials.

o Train operational staff and end users on NetPlus functionality, workflows, and best practices.

o Provide ongoing technical guidance and support following system implementations.

Requirements

· Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related technical field.

· 10–15 years of progressively responsible experience in software development and enterprise systems.

· Experience with:

o Wireless and Mobility Management

o Telecommunications

o Voice/Data Network Operations

o Billing

o Expense Management

Requirements

· Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related technical field.

· 10–15 years of progressively responsible experience in software development and enterprise systems.

· Experience with:

o Wireless and Mobility Management

o Telecommunications

o Voice/Data Network Operations

o Billing

o Expense Management

· Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain 

· Local travel required (up to 40%).

· Strong technical proficiency with:

o Java

o JavaScript

o Java Enterprise Edition (JEE)

o SQL

o Systems Integration

o SOA/ESB environments

o Windows Server

o Perl

o Windows Batch (BAT) scripting

o Pentaho Data Integration

· Additional experience preferred:

o Oracle Database

§ Supporting enterprise or government information systems.

o Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
