This role is responsible for supporting, enhancing, and maintaining enterprise systems to ensure reliability, performance, and alignment with business needs. Responsibilities:

  • System & Database Administration: Serve as the primary technical resource assisting the Lead DBA in implementing, configuring, monitoring, and maintaining enterprise database environments and applications to ensure secure, stable, and highly efficient operations.
  • Troubleshooting & Optimization: Investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex database performance issues, indexing bottlenecks, system incidents, and technical defects in a timely manner.
  • SOX Compliance & Security: Ensure all database configurations, user access controls, and financial data pipelines adhere to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) compliance standards and internal IT general controls (ITGCs).
  • Integration & Development: Design, develop, and deploy data integration packages (SSIS), automation scripts, and custom software solutions (C#) aligned with business needs
  • Reporting & Analytics: Design, develop, and maintain complex operational and financial reports using Crystal Reports and SQL Server Reporting Services.
  • Workflow Automation: Analyze system configurations, business workflows, and ERP processes to identify optimization opportunities and automate manual tasks using PowerShell.

Change Management: Manage database and application changes, including rigorous testing, technical documentation, and environment deployment (e.g., managing Play-to-Live environments).

  • Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional business stakeholders, internal IT teams, and external vendors to deliver robust technical solutions.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Development, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in enterprise systems or application development, designing and developing system features, workflows, and reporting solutions
  • Database Expertise: Strong, hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle, including advanced SQL dialects (T-SQL and/or PL/SQL), performance tuning, and database administration.
  • ETL & Reporting: Proven proficiency developing data integration workflows using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and building enterprise reports via Crystal Reports.
  • Development & Automation: Proven programming skills in C# for application enhancements.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail and a proven track record of troubleshooting complex data or system issues and delivering effective technical solutions.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to translate complex technical or database concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Assets for position (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Experience handling enterprise data migrations, complex data transformations, and system integrations.
  • EDI Integration & Mapping: Hands-on experience managing Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems. Proven ability to build data maps, configure mailboxes, onboard trading partners, and monitor document pipelines.
  • Enterprise ERP Platforms: Proven track record supporting major ERP software environments; comfortable working with core ERP database schemas, custom screens, and application business rules.
