Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Administer and configure Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance, Project Operations, and related ERP capabilities, including system settings, configuration, approved extensions, and day-to-day platform support.
• Manage Dynamics environments and operational administration activities, including sandbox and production coordination, environment refreshes, deployment readiness, release calendars, and configuration movement between environments.
• Manage user roles, security access, permissions, and related controls in partnership with functional owners and governance stakeholders, including support for segregation-of-duties requirements where applicable.
• Translate approved functional requirements into Dynamics configuration, technical tasks, data requirements, and deployment activities, coordinating custom development with implementation partners or developers when needed.
• Monitor ERP system health, batch processing, application performance, integration status, and platform notifications; investigate and resolve configuration, security, data, deployment, and production issues.
• Serve as an escalation resource for Application Support and Business Analysts on Dynamics-related incidents and requests, providing structured troubleshooting and coordinating Microsoft or partner support when required.
• Coordinate with the Integration Engineer on Dynamics APIs, data entities, custom FSM interfaces, third-party integrations, authentication, monitoring, and data-flow requirements.
• Support Microsoft platform updates, application releases, testing cycles, cutovers, data migration activities, and post-production validation; coordinate regression testing and readiness with functional owners.
• Support ERP data-management activities such as approved imports, exports, configuration data movement, migration validation, and data correction processes in accordance with established controls.
• Maintain Dynamics administration procedures, environment documentation, configuration records, security documentation, release notes, support runbooks, and technical knowledge required for sustainable internal platform ownership.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in ERP application administration, configuration, implementation, technical support, or related enterprise systems work, including significant hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365. Demonstrated experience supporting business-critical ERP environments, coordinating changes through multiple environments, and troubleshooting production application issues is required.
PLATFORM & TECHNOLOGY EXPERIENCE
Candidates should have strong hands-on experience administering and configuring Microsoft Dynamics 365, with experience in Finance and Project Operations strongly preferred. The role should be comfortable with Dynamics environment management, security and role administration, solution/configuration movement, data-management tools, release and update coordination, troubleshooting, and interaction with Microsoft or implementation-partner support. Familiarity with Power Platform, Azure services, SQL/data tools, Azure DevOps or comparable lifecycle tooling, OneStream, Power BI, Salesforce, HR/payroll applications, Fleetio/telematics, and integrations to an external field service platform is valuable. Experience using an enterprise ticketing or ITSM system such as ServiceNow for incident, request, defect, and change coordination is preferred.
