SR ER Tech Opportunity

This SR ER Tech opportunity is full time at 36 hours per week, offers full benefits and a convenient night shift schedule. This individual will provide indirect patient care in the Emergency Department. Monitors cardiac rhythms on telemetry monitor. Meets the communication needs of the patient/family, departmental staff and medical staff. Implements directions from physicians and nursing staff.
Job duties/responsibilities include:
- Communicates appropriately and clearly to charge nurse, coworkers, physicians and nursing director
- Communicates information about dysrhythmias to the charge nurse and primary care nurse
- Demonstrates competency in interpreting dysrhythmias
- Consults other departments, as appropriate, to provide for an interdisciplinary approach to the patient's needs
- Demonstrates an ability to be flexible, organized and function under stressful situations

Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent with one (1) year experience in an acute care hospital
- Current AEMT Certification
- NV Phlebotomy Certification preferred
- Proof of medical terminology class upon hire or within 6 months of hire
- Proof of Basic 16hr EKG class (within three months of hire), completes annual EKG competency
- BLS Certification (within 6 months of hire)
