We are seeking an Associate Manager in Data Operations to join our Research Program Management team, supporting our Discovery organization in an onsite capacity in Tarrytown, NY. In this role, you will strengthen the quality and reliability of discovery portfolio data by leading data operations, quality assurance, and system support activities, while collaborating with Senior Scientific Leadership, Research Program Management, Discovery Scientists, Operational Managers, and IT.

Discover your role:
  • Coordinate day-to-day project, program, and portfolio support activities, including tracking work, follow-up, and operational execution.
  • Partner with Senior Scientific Leadership, Research Program Management, Discovery Scientists, Operational Managers, and IT to align on data and operational needs.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned data domains, including data structure, business meaning, and downstream impact across the discovery workflow.
  • Monitor data quality, investigate issues, and drive corrective actions that improve data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
  • Coordinate data maintenance activities, including backfill, restructuring, and clean-up, to keep discovery portfolio data current and accurate.
  • Identify process gaps and improvement opportunities that strengthen data flow, consistency, and operational execution.
  • Provide subject matter and technical expertise in PPM systems and tools, including training, testing, and implementation support.
  • Support team operational forums and stakeholder touchpoints by communicating needs, surfacing follow-up actions, and maintaining alignment.
This role requires:
  • Bachelors or Master’s in biology, biochemistry, or another life science-related field and 7+ years of relevant experience (PhD in a related field with relevant work experience preferred but not required).
  • Experience supporting discovery operations, data management, system support, or portfolio and operational data processes strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of data quality, governance standards, and operational processes that support reliable, well-managed data.
  • Strong scientific and drug discovery knowledge and connecting data to project, program, and portfolio decisions.
  • Experience identifying, analyzing, and helping resolve data issues, including awareness of root cause, downstream impact, and process follow-up needs.
  • Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to support change management and cross-functional alignment.
  • Balancing multiple priorities with discipline, organization, and attention to detail, for both team and personal work.
  • A sharp eye for data quality and digging into issues to find root causes and drive lasting fixes
  • Strong working relationships across scientific, operational, and technical teams
