Job description

The market and financial analysis intern provides operational and strategic support for the Transformation Lab. The individual will work closely with the Lab's Market and Financial Analyst to conduct market research for potential new programs and initiatives at Butler. Additionally, the intern will create financial and business models to evaluate potential feasibility. The intern will utilize both market and financial information to provide recommendations for the university. 

Work Schedule: 15-20 hours per week: schedule determined collaboratively

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Utilize market research tools to conduct research for potential new programs and/or initiatives 

  • Identify potential programs to increase or diversify student enrollment

  • Synthesize data and research into digestible reports and presentations for stakeholders

  • Develop financial assumptions that lead to model construction

  • Build financial and business models for programs and projects showing potential income/loss

Required Qualifications: 

  • Enrolled as a Butler University student

  • Reliability and ability to meet scheduling expectations

  • Strong verbal & written communication

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Strong analytical or research ability

  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools and Excel

  • Energized by innovation and by "thinking outside the box"
