Exciting opportunity in Overlake's brand new Off-Campus Emergency Department.
Overlake is preparing to open our first off-campus ED (OCED) facility in Lynnwood this fall. This new OCED will provide 24/7 ED-level care in a highly collaborative, fast-paced setting. It will be based on the model MultiCare has used to open highly successful OCED locations across Washington State.
The Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) provides direct patient care to patients and their families under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. May provide care to patients of various ages. May also perform waived and moderately complex point of care testing and associated quality activities outlined in protocol and procedures; obtain blood samples from patients, transport samples and other potentially bio-hazardous specimen for point of care.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Health Care Provider CPR Certification is required upon hire.
  • Requires one of the following active licensures upon hire, the remaining license must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
    • Washington State Nursing Assistant-Certified (NAC) required or will consider Washington State Nursing Assistant Registration (NAR)
    • Washington State Medical Assistant - Phlebotomist (MA-P)
  • Minimum of one year recent experience in a health care setting involving patient contact is preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and EKG preferred. Computer familiarity is preferred. Knowledge and handling of hospital equipment, record keeping. Ability to read, write, and speak in the English language.
