Job Summary:
RIT Solutions, Inc. is seeking an Application Support Analyst with a backend focus for their Houston, TX location. The role involves providing end-to-end application support for Equities trading systems, collaborating with global infrastructure teams, and ensuring application stability during market hours.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Provide endโ€toโ€end application support for Equities trading systems (backend focus)
โ€ข Act as a first point of contact for application and infrastructure issues
โ€ข Support startโ€ofโ€day batch processing, monitor batch jobs, and troubleshoot failures
โ€ข Handle user queries, production issues, and infrastructure alerts throughout the day
โ€ข Monitor production environments and respond to alerts using standard monitoring tools
โ€ข Perform root cause analysis, escalate issues when needed, and drive resolution to closure
โ€ข Collaborate with: Frontโ€end application teams (NY), Global infrastructure teams (APAC, India, Americas)
โ€ข Ensure application stability during market hours and critical processing windows
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Application Support experience in a production environment
โ€ข Strong UNIX/Linux skills (log analysis, process checks, basic troubleshooting)
โ€ข Strong SQL skills (querying, investigation, data validation)
โ€ข Python (used for scripting, automation, or support tooling)
โ€ข Experience supporting backend systems (not purely front-end support)
Preferred:
โ€ข A financial services background is a plus, but the manager is open to candidates from other industries as long as they have strong application support experience.
