Job Description
Assistant Teaching Professor-Entrepreneurship
The Henry W. Bloch School of Management at the University of Missouri-Kansas City is seeking applications for a ranked non-tenure track Assistant Teaching Professor position from outstanding candidates with expertise in entrepreneurship, innovation, and technology. This 9-month faculty position begins with the Fall 2026 semester.
  • Candidates must demonstrate expertise in areas relating to international business and strategy and/or entrepreneurship.
  • Candidates must be able to demonstrate competencies critical for instructional effectiveness, the ability to address the needs of students from across a broad portfolio of programs and from different backgrounds, and the capacity to utilize different teaching modalities.
  • Candidates must be able to demonstrate capabilities relating to outreach to the business community and industry partners.

Qualifications
  • MBA or related graduate degree (including a PhD or DBA) where the business school is accredited by AACSB or EQUIS with significant coursework in areas related to expected teaching assignments.
  • For candidates with a MBA or MS degree, at least 5 years of professional experience in areas related to expected teaching assignments. .
  • Experience, professional engagement, research and publications must allow for candidate to meet AACSB faculty qualifications.

Anticipated Hiring Range
This is an Assistant Teaching Professor position and salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience and evidence of success in teaching, publications and/or research. This is a 9-month, benefit-eligible, full-time (1.0) faculty appointment eligible for ranked promotion. Initial appointment is for the 2026-2027 academic year.
