SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

The purpose of the Sales Associate is to execute the sale of dealership equipment, this position is the initial representative of the company and creates the customer's first impressions. Sales Representative provides valuable customer service that reflects H&R Agri-Power's mission to provide quality products/services at a fair price to afford a reasonable return on assets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contact new and existing customers to check on current equipment and satisfaction, identify performance gaps, accurately recommend equipment/services that would fulfill all the customer's needs, and close sales wholly and fully to the best of ability.
  • Assure all documents associated with sales of whole goods and attachments are properly and totally completed.
  • Submit once a week call reports, etc. on a timely basis.
  • Maintain sales department vehicles and office equipment.
  • Assist Sales Manager with field demonstrations by completing inspection on desired equipment to ensure that it is clean and operational. Coordinate with the Service Department to schedule follow-up services and/or maintenance.
  • Update yourself daily on changes to manufacturers' terms, discounts, and special programs, sales, deliveries, valuations, and new equipment arrival.
  • Acquire and maintain in depth knowledge of all products and services provided within our company.
  • Keep in front of competitive activity and competitive products.
  • Have a good knowledge of used equipment values and be able to evaluate for trading purposes.
  • Maintain all manuals, price lists, and other documents given to you by the dealership in an orderly fashion.  
  • Have a working knowledge of all factory finance plans.
  • Attend any company, store and community functions that will benefit the dealership; visit with the customers.
  • Promote H&R Agri-Power with pride and professionalism by ensuring that the customer is satisfied with the products and services and providing support to all staff.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned by Service, Parts or Store Management.
  • Maintain a positive, professional, and safe work environment by interacting with customers, peers, management and support resources in a way that promotes teamwork and a commitment to excellence.  



Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or Equivalent.
  • Associate degree preferred, but not required.
  • 2-4 years of experience in sales and/or customer service.
  • Basic familiarity with small and large Agriculture equipment would be beneficial to this position.   
  • Experience in a fast-paced work environment is a plus.
