With six locations across Sonoma, Solano, and Mendocino Counties, we provide equipment rentals for contractors, homeowners, industrial projects, special events, and everything in between. From heavy construction equipment to hand tools, our team works hard to deliver reliable equipment and exceptional customer service every day.

About the Position

We are looking for an experienced Equipment Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing a wide variety of rental equipment, both at the store and at customer job sites.

The right candidate will be mechanically inclined, dependable, safety-minded, and able to adjust priorities when an urgent customer need arises.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair rental equipment
  • Evaluate equipment issues and complete repairs safely and efficiently
  • Perform service calls and equipment repairs at customer job sites
  • Operate and test equipment to verify that repairs have been completed properly
  • Complete timely and detailed service reports and repair logs
  • Communicate repair status and job progress with managers and team members
  • Identify and order necessary parts and equipment
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Properly use personal protective equipment and follow all company safety procedures
  • Travel safely and courteously to and from customer locations
  • Assist with other departmental duties as needed
  • Complete at least 20 hours of continued education and training each year
  • Provide professional and helpful service to both customers and coworkers
Requirements: Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least two years of mechanical experience
  • Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment repair
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Self-motivated and team-oriented
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to change direction and reprioritize work to address urgent customer needs
Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

  • Frequently squat, reach, push, and pull
  • Stand or sit for extended periods
  • Regularly lift and move items weighing up to 80 pounds
  • Occasionally lift up to 100 pounds
  • Move safely over uneven terrain and within confined spaces
  • Respond quickly to sounds and potentially dangerous situations
  • Safely climb ladders while carrying up to 40 pounds
  • Work outdoors in varying and sometimes extreme weather conditions
  • Properly wear personal protective equipment for most of the workday
