Job description

What a day looks like

You start your shift by walking the floor, bringing critical machinery online and checking readouts for temperature, pressure, and throughput. As production ramps, you keep a close eye on performance trends and safety limits, stepping in to make adjustments that keep everything running smoothly and safely.

Throughout the day, you perform scheduled inspections and light preventive maintenance—tightening, lubricating, cleaning, and replacing wear parts before they become issues. When something behaves out of spec, you partner with engineering colleagues to diagnose the root cause and restore performance quickly, minimizing downtime and protecting the flow of materials to the next stage of production.

Before handoff, you document what you observed and what you did—maintenance tasks completed, machine performance notes, and any incidents—so the next technician and the engineering team have a clear picture.

  • Keep machinery running safely and efficiently by operating and monitoring equipment throughout the shift.
  • Complete routine inspections and preventive maintenance to sustain reliability.
  • Work side by side with engineering to troubleshoot mechanical and operational problems.
  • Respond rapidly to faults to reduce downtime and protect throughput.
  • Ensure a steady supply flow by maintaining high equipment uptime and stability.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and keep machines within safe operating thresholds.
  • Record maintenance actions, performance metrics, and any incidents with clear, timely documentation.
