Job description

Maintenance & Facilities Manager

Location: Aspen Copak Reports To: Plant Manager

Position Summary

Aspen Copak is seeking a self-motivated Maintenance & Facilities Manager to lead all maintenance activities for our manufacturing facility. As the site’s primary maintenance professional, you will be responsible for keeping production equipment operating safely and efficiently while maintaining the facility, utilities, and grounds. This role requires someone who takes ownership, works independently, and enjoys solving problems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs.
  • Improve equipment reliability through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform general facility maintenance, including building systems and utilities.
  • Coordinate equipment installations, facility improvements, and maintenance projects.
  • Establish and manage relationships with equipment vendors, contractors, and service providers.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory and order maintenance supplies as needed.
  • Create and maintain maintenance documentation and records.
  • Support safety, food quality, GMP, and regulatory compliance.
  • Respond to equipment and facility issues as business needs require.
  • Perform other maintenance and facility-related duties as assigned.
  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills with working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance and equipment reliability.
  • Ability to prioritize work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Experience working with outside vendors and contractors.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn new equipment and systems quickly.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Experience in food, nutraceutical, or consumer packaged goods manufacturing.
  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting, welding, fabrication, or facility utilities.
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish.
