Job description

Industrial Equipment Reliability Technician

Location: Headland, AL
Compensation: $24.00+/hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:30 PM (unpaid lunch). Overtime, after-hours call-ins, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Picture this: it’s 6:55 AM in Headland. You grab your PPE, open the work orders, and plan your day. By 7:15, a conveyor gearbox is running hot—you diagnose the root cause, pull the guard, confirm alignment, and return the line to service. The rest of the morning is spent on preventive maintenance that keeps power transmission systems reliable. After lunch, you review a technical drawing to verify a modification, then document the work and recommend an improvement to reduce future downtime. Before clocking out, you make a final sweep to ensure everything meets EHS standards.

What You’ll Do
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical equipment issues to restore safe, reliable operation.
  • Execute preventive and corrective maintenance with precision and urgency.
  • Maintain and improve conveyors, gearboxes, power transmission systems, and related processing assets.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment documentation.
  • Accurately document maintenance activities and any equipment modifications.
  • Recommend reliability-focused improvements that boost performance and uptime.
  • Work safely at all times and follow all safety and EHS requirements.
What You Bring
  • At least 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing or high-speed production.
  • Proven mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting ability.
  • Hands-on experience with conveyors, hydraulics, rigging, welding, cutting, grinding, and precision alignment.
  • Clear communication and strong organizational skills.
  • Comfort working independently and as a collaborative teammate.
Physical Demands
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Climb stairs and ladders.
  • Enter and work in confined spaces and at heights.
  • Stand, bend, kneel, and work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions.

If you’re energized by solving problems in a fast-paced agricultural manufacturing environment, this role puts your skills front and center—every shift.
