Excavating Equipment Foreman/Superintendent

Position Details

We are looking for an experienced, talented individual to join our company as an Equipment Operator/Foreman. As part of our team, you lead crews in the completion of various major projects, always ensuring a safe and efficient workplace. You will coordinate tasks for your crews according to current project needs, produce schedules for crew members and supervise the use of machinery. In some cases, you may need to train crew members on running equipment and safe equipment use. Our ideal candidate has considerable professional experience in construction. You must also possess excellent leadership and communication skills.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Four years of construction experience, including experience in a leadership or supervisory position
  • Detailed knowledge of construction procedures and OSHA guidelines
  • Experience with blueprint reading, construction staking, and construction surveying
  • Knowledge of soils and compaction
  • Must have experience running equipment
  • Willingness to understand and accept safety standards
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Must maintain flexibility in the schedule during the busy season
  • Valid driver's license
  • Class A license is preferred, however not required
