Job description

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring an HVAC Service Tech Level 4 in Tempe, AZ for a direct hire opportunity with our client. As a trusted partner in the construction industry, we connect top talent with top companies across the United States.

Responsibilities:
  • Service, troubleshoot, and repair large commercial HVAC systems, including chillers 250+ tons.
  • Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues on chiller systems and related equipment.
  • Utilize an iPad for job assignments, reporting, and documentation.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional communication with clients.
  • Follow company safety policies and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 7+ years HVAC service experience in heavy commercial settings.
  • Strong knowledge of chiller systems (centrifugal, screw, and scroll systems preferred).
  • Ability to work independently and manage daily schedule starting from home.
  • Technology-proficient; able to use an iPad and digital service tools.
  • Must possess clean MVR and pass background check and drug screen.
  • EPA Universal Certification required; other HVAC certifications a plus.
  • Heavy Commercial- Chiller Experience Required.
  • EPR Certification required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to talk or hear, sit, stand, bend, stoop, stretch, twist, use hands, work in tight or restricted areas, and/or reach out for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to work in tight or confined spaces like ductwork or crawlspaces.
  • Ability to work in hot, cold, dusty, or humid conditions depending on the season and worksite.
  • Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination for precision tasks (e.g., wiring, welding, brazing).
  • Use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Ability to lift 50-75 pounds.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights (e.g., rooftops, scaffolding).
  • Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions.
  • Must be able to work around wood dust and fumes.
  • May be exposed to heights and loud noises.
  • Must be aware of OSHA safety standards.
