Job description

Oracle EPM Principal Consultant

Who We Are

R-Cubed Consulting is a business strategy and technology consulting firm powered by relationships, results, and reputation. These core values guide everything we do, shaping our commitment to delivering meaningful value for clients and driving real change in how organizations operate. Our approach centers on collaboration, ensuring both employees and clients are at the heart of our work. From enterprise applications and integration architecture to cloud computing and managed services, we provide solutions that enable confident decision-making and lasting impact. More than just a consulting firm, R-Cubed is a team built on respect, integrity, and collaboration-where every voice matters, contributions drive real impact, and our people feel empowered and supported to succeed.

The Role

R-Cubed Consulting is seeking an experienced Oracle EPM Principal to serve as a senior technical and strategic leader within our Oracle EPM Practice. This individual will own client relationships at the executive level, lead complex Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM Cloud) implementations, and mentor a growing team of EPM consultants. The ideal candidate combines deep functional and technical expertise in Oracle EPM with consulting maturity to advise CFOs, controllers, and finance transformation leaders on strategy, design, and change management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end Oracle EPM Cloud implementations, including Planning & Budgeting Cloud Service (Planning) and all Planning Modules, Financial Consolidation and Close (FCC), Account Reconciliation (ARCS), Profitability and Cost Management (EPCM), FreeForm (Essbase) and Enterprise Data Management (EDM/DRM).
  • Serve as the primary client-facing leader on engagements, building trusted advisor relationships with CFOs, VPs of FP&A, and other senior finance executives.
  • Own project delivery outcomes, scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk, applying R-Cubed's delivery standards and escalation protocols.
  • Translate complex business requirements into scalable EPM architecture and configuration designs.
  • Lead and mentor a team of EPM consultants and senior consultants, providing technical guidance, career development, and performance feedback.
  • Contribute to practice growth through proposal development, solutioning, and support of business development and sales pursuits.
  • Develop and refine methodologies, accelerators, and reusable assets that elevate delivery quality and consistency across the Oracle EPM Practice or Firm-wide.
  • Stay current on Oracle EPM product roadmap, releases, and industry best practices, and translate that knowledge into client value.
  • Identify opportunities to expand engagement scope and drive account growth in partnership with practice and account leadership.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive experience implementing Oracle EPM solutions, including at least 2 years in a client-facing leadership or principal-level consulting role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Oracle EPM Cloud Planning and one or more additional modules: Essbase, FCC, ARCS, EPCM, or EDM.
  • Prior experience at a professional services or consulting firm is strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record managing full project lifecycles, from discovery and design through deployment and post-go-live support.
  • Strong executive presence, with the ability to present complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical, C-suite audiences.
  • Experience leading and developing consulting teams; prior people-management responsibility preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field preferred; MBA a plus.
  • Oracle EPM certifications (e.g., Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Certified) strongly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary with a performance-based commission structure
  • Medical, vision, and dental insurance for employees and eligible dependents
  • 401(k) plan
  • Paid time off
  • Life and disability insurance
  • A collaborative, employee-centered culture that values transparency, teamwork, and professional growth
