W-Industries is an energy service company that specializes in Automation Solutions, I&E Construction Services, Power Generation and Packaged Equipment for the Energy and Industrial markets. Our expertise encompasses the full spectrum of system technologies from pneumatic - hydraulic control systems to state-of-the-art programmable solutions to chemical injection systems, and everything in-between.


This position supports the electrical design of the manufacturing and operation of company equipment as well as providing technical support between manufacturing, engineering, and field operations. Duties include project support for new and ongoing applications. Familiarity with electrical control panel design, testing and inspection is desired. Knowledge of either NEC and/or IEC standards is preferred.

Requirements:
  • Supports all electrical engineering and design related activities for individual projects with review from the Jr. and Sr. Engineers within the team.
  • Performing Design Load Calculations.
  • Creating Interconnection Schematics, Wiring Diagrams and Cable Schedules.
  • Supports project documentation such as Factory Acceptance Test documentation and execution, Creation of Operation and maintenance Manual of the equipment related to the projects and Field Commissioning Procedures with the corresponding project Mechanical Engineer.
  • Provide technical support throughout the project life cycle
  • Supports NEC and/or IEC inspections for skid and panel assemblies with training provided by the Engineering Manager and arranged 3rd parties.
  • Supports field commissioning activities with an experienced team of service technicians for skid packages or integrated systems.
  • Participate in construction phase periodic site visits to identify, solve, and execute engineering and design RFI’s.
  • Ensure all required testing documentation is completed and signed.

Required Skills

  • Electrical Distribution Systems Design knowledge.
  • Power Distribution Equipment Design Knowledge.
  • Read and understand engineering drawings (skid layouts, building elevations, bussing details, Single line diagrams, three-line diagrams, elementaries, etc.)
  • Read and understand quality documents (procedures, checklist, etc.)
  • Communicate clearly with manufacturing personnel and team members.
  • Read and understand job status reports.
  • Read and understand job schedules.
  • Substation Automation & Relay Application Engineering

Required Experience & Education

  • Minimum 2 years of practical experience. (This is a Must)
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university (This is a must)
  • General knowledge of ANSI, NEMA and IEC standards.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk.
  • Continuously requires vision, hearing, twisting, and talking.
  • Some lifting (up to 30 lbs.). Long hours on computer keyboard.
  • Frequent visits to the Shop/Production area, to review project status and troubleshooting.
