Under the direction of the Value Stream Leader and Senior Team Leader, the Material Handler assists in the daily operation of the department with primary emphasis on distribution of material and control of inventory.
Work Type: This position will be based onsite at our Manchester, IA facility. This job opening is not eligible for immigration/work visa sponsorship

Responsibilities:
  • Executed inventory location assignments and job order deliveries, operating forklifts safely and efficiently to transport materials.
  • Conducted receiving inspections to verify goods before directing them to appropriate departments or storage areas
  • Tasked with identifying safety challenges, developing practical solutions, recognizing potential hazards, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Adhered to company safety protocols to ensure a secure work environment for all team members.
  • Obtained forklift certification.

Knowledge/Education:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Attention to detail-spotting labeling errors, damaged goods, or misplaced items
  • Inventory management-tracking, organizing, and maintaining stock levels.
  • Mathematical - ensuring counts and accuracy
  • Time management-meeting deadlines and keeping workflows efficient.
  • Communication-Coordinating with team members and supervisors.
  • Certification in forklift operation and other key motorized equipment is desired

Skills and Abilities:
  • Candidates must be able to read and write clearly, with effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Forklift and pallet jack operation - Safely moving heavy materials is a must.
  • Shipping and receiving - Handling incoming and outgoing goods accurately.
