Job description

Job Title: Epidemiologist 1
Location: Nashville, TN/Hybrid
Duration: 12+ Months
This hybrid position has in-person attendance expected for the first day of employment for laptop deployment and onboarding in Nashville, TN. Possible in-person attendance for quarterly meetings and professional development opportunities. Travel to Nashville, TN is non-reimbursable. Position is renewable through 2027.
The Tennessee Department of Health is seeking a contract Epidemiologist 1 within the Division of Family Health and Wellness, Children of Youth with Special Healthcare Needs section.
Epidemiologist 1 will develop and maintain enhancements to the Community Health Access and Navigation Team (CHANT) data collection project.
CHANT utilizes REDCap as a data collection tool to guide programmatic efforts and collect data for evaluation and program oversight.
  • Epidemiologist 1 must have extensive knowledge of REDCap.
  • Epidemiologist 1 will be responsible for creating reports, assisting with needed updates to the existing evidence-based CHANT REDCap site, and developing new REDCap projects as required.
  • Epidemiologist 1 must have extensive knowledge of SAS and Sequel.
