Job description

Position Purpose

The role of Information Technology is to provide timely, secure, accurate information, information support and information technology to facilitate our integrated business model. This position is responsible for facilitating interactive Epic training sessions, virtually and in-person (as needed) as well as providing first level support and computer troubleshooting for registered trainees.

Nature and Scope

The incumbent in this position has a mastery of the electronic medical record application and the Operational Unit specific workflows. The Associate Training Coordinator is a member of the Application Team.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitating interactive Epic classroom training sessions, virtually and in-person (as needed)

• Providing first level support and computer troubleshooting for registered trainees

• Reconciling classroom rosters and sending email communications

• Assisting during Go Live events and providing on-site support (as needed)

• Supporting our Epic Training Coordinator with administrative tasks

• Addressing training registration requests

• Maintaining data in the Learning Management System (LMS)

• The Epic Credentialed Trainer will assist the Epic Training Coordinator with daily duties.

Teamwork, Collaboration, Professionalism, and Leadership:

• Collaborate with other trainers to ensure the overall consistency and effectiveness of training.

• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

• Demonstrate the ability to manage workload independently, as well as part of a team.

• Provide knowledge transfer and mentoring to peer’s coworkers.

• Fosters and encourages open communication, trust, out of the box thinking/creative solutions and cohesive efforts as a team.

• Good verbal and written communication and people skills.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

1. Must be skilled in adult education techniques and the principles of adult learning.

2. Must employ creative approaches to training content delivery, such as simulations, cases, web-based delivery, or other methodologies.

3. Must possess strong verbal and written skills.

4. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, email, internet, and other systems.

5. Ability to effectively adapt to changing curriculum.

6. Ability to facilitate classroom, on-line and one-on-one training.

Experience:

1+ years of health care experience in a position of increasing responsibility, including experience with the Electronic Medical Record, leading organizational change, in developing positive rapport with staff members who may be resistant to change, and in motivating others to complete their tasks in a timely manner preferred.

1+ years in healthcare application training or education preferred. Experience with an electronic medical record product preferred. Training of a technology that fundamentally changed clinical practice preferred. Familiarity with Articulate, or similar web/Computer based training tools preferred.
