Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab RN for a teaching hospital assignment requiring 18 months of recent Cath Lab experience and a FL or compact RN license.

Details
  • Cath Lab unit within a short-term acute care teaching hospital
  • Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • On-call requirement of approximately 9 shifts within a 5-week period
  • Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
  • Performs diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures for adult patients
  • Includes left and right heart catheterization, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, and procedural sedation administration and monitoring
  • Uses Epic charting system
Requirements
  • Active FL or compact RN license required
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required at time of submittal
  • NIHSS certification required prior to start date
  • 18 months of recent Cath Lab experience required, preferably within the last 3 years
  • 2 years of experience preferred
  • EP and Vascular experience preferred
  • Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
  • One professional reference from a direct supervisor, ANM, or director in the applicable specialty required
Additional Information
  • Ceil Blue scrub color required
  • Time-sensitive orientation modules must be completed promptly once assignment is confirmed
  • EKG and pharmacology testing required during orientation with a maximum of 2 attempts each and no remediation
  • Smoke-free facility requiring all travelers to be nicotine-free with negative 10-panel drug screen plus nicotine (cotinine) test
  • COVID-19 and flu vaccines required with medical or religious exemptions only
  • Holiday coverage required on an every-other-holiday rotation
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
  • All requested time off must be submitted and discussed at time of application
  • Permanent staff cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date
