Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract position offering 13 to 26 weeks. This role involves working three 12-hour night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15, with weekend coverage required every other week.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to adults and geriatric patients, focusing on neurology and higher acuity med-surg cases.
  • Maintain and enhance patient experience through dedicated support and care.
  • Monitor and manage patient conditions, including stroke, TIA, seizure, syncope, pneumonia, chest pain, dialysis, acute kidney failure, respiratory failure, encephalopathy, CHF, and sepsis.
  • Administer medications through the Omnicell system.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and float to other units based on patient care needs and skill set.
  • Participate in special procedures including peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation.
Staffing Ratios

The nurse-to-patient ratio on night shifts is 1:6.

Qualifications
  • Must possess a valid RN license in Tennessee.
  • A minimum of one year of recent experience in a clinical setting is required, specifically with EPIC software.
  • Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
  • Previous travelers are not eligible for this position.
