Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for an outpatient imaging setting, requiring 1+ year of experience and ARRT certification.

Details
  • Outpatient imaging facility setting
  • MRI Tech unit
  • Daily caseload of 10-15 patients
  • Monday-Friday day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM
  • Rotating Saturday shifts approximately once every couple of months
  • On-call as needed
  • No floating to sister facilities required
  • Epic EMR used for charting
  • Caribbean blue scrub color
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of MRI Tech experience required
  • BLS and ARRT (R) certification required; ARRT Advanced certification preferred
  • VA license required in hand at time of submission; temporary license not accepted (license required if applicable)
  • Community hospital experience required
  • Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
  • PACS and contrast media administration skills required
  • Experience starting peripheral IVs required
  • MRI procedure experience required in head/neck, abdomen/pelvis, spine, and musculoskeletal imaging
  • Experience with diffusion, gradient echo imaging, image post-processing, MIP, MRP, spin echo images, surface coils, and T1/T2 weighted images required
  • Philips equipment experience preferred
  • Epic charting system experience preferred
  • Philips iSite PACS and Care Logistics software experience preferred
Additional Information
  • Performs a wide range of MRI procedures including abdominal MRA/MRV, MRCP, chest, breast, spine, and musculoskeletal imaging
  • Conducts special imaging procedures such as CINE, diffusion studies, perfusion, spectroscopy, and peripheral MRA
  • Responsible for preparation and administration of contrast media
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Locals accepted at the same pay rate
  • No local radius restriction
  • RTO requests subject to manager's discretion
  • Travelers may float within the facility or nearby affiliated facilities based on census and volume needs
  • Up to 8 hours of pre-start training modules required within one week of signing
  • Previous employees must have a 1-year separation before returning to this healthcare system
