An Epic Infrastructure Solution Architect plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between clinical teams and IT departments during an electronic health record (EHR) implementation. This role involves collaborating with healthcare organizations, IT teams, and Epic representatives to align system architecture with business and clinical needs. Epic Infrastructure Solution Architects often participate in planning and executing upgrades, migrations, and disaster recovery strategies to support uninterrupted healthcare operations.

Is Solution Architect replaced by AI?

A Solution Architect, including those specializing in Epic infrastructure, designs and oversees complex technical solutions and requires skills in systems analysis, architecture, and communication. While AI tools can assist with tasks like data analysis and automation, they do not replace the strategic planning, stakeholder collaboration, and problem-solving expertise that Solution Architects provide. AI is a complement to their work rather than a replacement.
