The Job
Arrowhead Regional Medical Center is looking for Epic Analyst to join the Epic Team!
Epic Analyst I is an entry-level, trainee position designed for individuals interested in developing expertise in healthcare IT. In this role, you will receive training and guidance from experienced analysts to learn how to support and configure Epic applications. This position provides hands-on experience to build knowledge of system workflows, processes, and how technology supports safe and efficient healthcare operations. Epic Analyst I assist with system setup, testing, and troubleshooting while gaining exposure to Epic tools and best practices. This role is ideal for candidates who are interested in combining their background with technical skills to build a career in healthcare IT. Epic Analyst I will work under training conditions while acquiring the necessary skills, knowledge, and certification to qualify for promotion to Epic Analyst II.

Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles), Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Pre-Employment Process: Applicants selected for these positions must pass a physical, background investigation and verification of employment history and education.
Certification: Incumbents must obtain and maintain Epic certification for the application/module to which they are assigned. Certification for the application for which the incumbent was hired must be obtained within ninety (90) days of hire; this timeframe may be extended if Epic training schedules fall outside the 90-day period. Some positions may require additional Epic and/or vendor-specific certifications based on operational needs. When additional certifications are required, they must be obtained within six (6) months of notification by the supervisor or management team; this timeframe may also be extended due to Epic training availability. Failure to obtain required certification(s) within the applicable timeframe, including any approved extension, may result in termination of employment.
On-Call: Incumbents may be placed "On-Call" for nights,weekends and holidays depending on the certified module.
Sponsorship: San Bernardino County is not able to consider candidates who will require visa sponsorship at the time of application or in the future.
Minimum Requirements
Candidates must meet both the following Education and Experience requirements:
EDUCATION
An Associate's Degree or equivalent completed college coursework in Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
Applicants who do not possess an Associate's degree in one of the areas indicated must provide a list of completed college coursework or their application will be disqualified.
EXPERIENCETwo (2) years of full-time experience working in healthcare setting utilizing health information systems which include front or back-office support
--OR--
Two (2) years of full-time experience in Information Technology (IT) providing system support.
SUBSTITUTION: The required Associate's Degree may be substituted by one (1) additional year of qualifying experience.
Desired Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have experience working with Epic or similar electronic health record system for an acute care hospital or a large healthcare setting.
