Job description

This position provides technical expertise on major, complex initiatives. The System Administration team manages major, line-of-business applications supporting Environmental Health, Population Health, Vital Records, and a Laboratory. In addition, the team manages approximately 60 other minor applications.
The candidate will initially be expected to become a primary support person for the Electronic Health Record application, focusing on clinical and connected care systems. Identifying issues that arise in their application area and those that impact other application teams, and working to resolve them. Other responsibilities will include identifying and implementing requested changes to the system.
The candidate will eventually be required to provide support for other applications as needed. The ideal candidate will be willing and able to learn new content and skills, excel at time management, and understand how to properly prioritize their workload.

Required Skills:

  • Healthcare software application experience, either as a system administrator or Certified Epic Ambulatory Analyst.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new content areas and new skills quickly.

Recommended Skills:

  • Healthcare software configuration experience, including creating electronic forms and analyzing report data and workflows.
  • Ambulatory care experience, either as an Epic Ambulatory Analyst or as a clinical software administrator.
  • End-user training experience.
  • Public health experience.
  • Business analysis experience.
  • Experience with SQL and/or Oracle, relational
    databases, and schemas.
