JOB DESCRIPTION ● About Facility · Two River, WI · Level IV Trauma Center · Primary Stroke Center · Beds: 69 ● General Information · Beds: 12 (including Triage) · Experience- 2 years · First-time traveler- Upon Review ● Patient Types: · Neonates to geriatrics, various types of illnesses, majority of patients are adults ● Patient Ratios: · 1-5, up to 6 rarely (acuity based) ● Required Certifications: · BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC, PALS, De-escalation training (MOAB or CPI) ● Skills required · GEneral ED skillset, chest tubes, drips, IV starts, phlebotomy, EKGs, cardiac rhythm interpretation ● Support on the Unit: · CNA (Ratio – 1:12) · Charge nurse: does this person have patient load? No titled Charge RN in the ED · Phlebotomy team? ED RN’s will perform phlebotomy at the bedside · Resource Nurse, Lead RN functions as a resource · RT – in house 24/7? Yes · Hospitalist – in house 24/7? Yes · Bedside and Nursing station telemetry – no tele tech ● Charting System/Equipment: · Epic · GE monitors · Alaris · Pyxis ● Floating: · No ● Orientation: · 1 shift on the unit to learn the flow ● Scheduling: · Weekend rotation?
