Job description

Doctor of Physical Therapy – Full time

Location: Flint, MI

Schedule: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm or 4 days a week/10h shift - 8am-6pm.

At Epic Health, we don’t just treat conditions—we transform lives. We’re on a mission to provide healthcare that actually works for our community, focusing on the needs of the most vulnerable. As a multi-specialty practice, we take a comprehensive approach to patient care, looking at the big picture. We don’t shy away from challenges, and we need a passionate, driven Physical Therapist who’s ready to jump in and help our patients reclaim their mobility and quality of life.

What You’ll Do:

  • Evaluate like you mean it: Assess patients’ physical conditions, combining medical history, diagnostic tests, and hands-on observation to create the most accurate picture possible.
  • Design treatments that actually work: Develop personalized rehabilitation plans that go beyond just the basics—aim for strength, mobility, and real progress.
  • Implement treatment like a pro: Use everything in your toolkit—manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation—to get patients back to moving like they should.
  • Track and adjust: Monitor patients’ progress closely. If something’s not working, change it up. Keep pushing for results and don’t settle.
  • Collaborate with the best: Work with our providers and the rest of the healthcare team to ensure patients are getting the most holistic, comprehensive care possible.
  • Teach patients to keep going: Show patients and their families how to continue treatment at home with personalized exercises and mobility techniques. Teach them how to prevent injuries and take control of their health.
  • Stay organized: Keep accurate, up-to-date records on patient progress, treatment plans, and any adjustments made. Your documentation will keep our team aligned and informed.
  • Lead the charge: If you oversee physical therapy assistants or aides, make sure they’re delivering care that meets Epic’s high standards and aligns with treatment goals.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Education: A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Passing the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) and obtaining state licensure to practice in Michigan.
  • Experience: Strong background in physical therapy, with a solid understanding of therapeutic techniques and patient management.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and patient management skills. Ability to create individualized rehabilitation plans that truly make a difference.
  • Strength: Ability to lift 40+ lbs. We’re looking for someone who can get their hands dirty—literally and figuratively.
  • Familiarity: Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in physical therapy.

Why Join Epic Health?

  • Competitive Salary: You’re worth it, and we’ll make sure you’re recognized.
  • Health, Vision, Dental, Disability & Life Insurance: We’ve got you covered in more ways than one.
  • Paid Time Off and Holiday Pay: Because we know you work hard, you deserve time to recharge.
  • 401K Retirement Plan: We’re in this for the long haul, together.
  • Paid Orientation and Training: We’ll get you up to speed and keep you sharp.
