Epic Caboodle/Clarity Developer (Clinical Reporting)Overview

We are seeking an experienced Epic Caboodle/Clarity Developer to support a large Pennsylvania-based health system that is experiencing significant growth in its data and analytics demands. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise within Epic's reporting ecosystem, including Clarity, Caboodle, Reporting Workbench (RWB), and data extraction processes, with a strong focus on clinical data and operations rather than revenue cycle reporting. This position offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of complex reporting and analytics initiatives while helping the organization reduce a substantial reporting backlog.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain Epic Clarity and Caboodle data models, extracts, and reporting solutions.
  • Design and deliver data extracts for internal departments and external vendor partners requiring timely access to Epic data.
  • Create and support Epic Reporting Workbench (RWB) reports and data extraction workflows.
  • Collaborate with clinical, operational, and informatics teams to translate business requirements into reporting solutions.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot reporting issues, data discrepancies, and extract failures.
  • Support scheduling-related reporting and analytics initiatives within Epic.
  • Assist in prioritizing and resolving a growing pipeline of reporting and data requests.
  • Provide recommendations for reporting optimization, automation, and performance improvements.
  • Partner with analytics teams to support broader enterprise data and business intelligence initiatives.
  • Leverage Qlik tools to develop dashboards, visualizations, and self-service reporting solutions where applicable.
Required Qualifications
  • Epic Caboodle Certification
  • Epic Clarity Certification
  • 3+ years of hands-on Epic reporting and development experience.
  • Extensive experience working with Epic Clarity and Caboodle databases.
  • Strong SQL development and query optimization skills.
  • Experience building and supporting Reporting Workbench (RWB) reports and data extracts.
  • Proven experience gathering requirements and translating them into technical reporting solutions.
  • Experience supporting large healthcare organizations and complex reporting environments.
  • Strong understanding of Epic clinical workflows and clinical data structures.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with QlikView and/or Qlik Sense development.
  • Experience building dashboards, data visualizations, and enterprise analytics solutions.
  • Knowledge of Epic scheduling data and workflows.
  • Experience supporting third-party integrations, data requests, and external data-sharing initiatives.
  • Familiarity with healthcare analytics, clinical quality metrics, and population health reporting.
Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated Epic reporting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels at delivering accurate data solutions under tight timelines. They will bring a strong clinical reporting experience, deep expertise in Caboodle and Clarity development, and the ability to quickly respond to high-priority data requests from both internal stakeholders and external partners.

Required Certifications:

  • Epic Caboodle Certification
  • Epic Clarity Certification

Preferred Skills:

  • Qlik Sense / QlikView
  • SQL Development
  • Reporting Workbench (RWB)
  • Clinical Analytics
  • Healthcare Data Warehousing
  • Data Extract Development

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing healthcare analytics team and make an immediate impact by helping a leading health system modernize and accelerate its Epic reporting capabilities.
