Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our dynamic team. As a vital member of the healthcare team, you will provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced and high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive patient care in the emergency room setting.
  • Assess patient conditions and prioritize critical interventions.
  • Administer medications and treatments as per protocol.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic health record (EPIC).
  • Ensure compliance with safety and infection control policies and procedures.

Qualifications
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an emergency room setting.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIH).
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in using electronic health record systems, specifically EPIC.
  • Willingness to fulfill a 1-year travel requirement.
  • Vaccination requirements include 2-step PPD and flu vaccination.
Work Environment

This is a high-volume and rapid-paced emergency room that serves as a Level 2 Trauma Center. The facility operates a 54-bed emergency room, averaging approximately 220 patients each day. Nurses will encounter a variety of cases requiring prompt and specialized care.
