Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | Days, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM | No weekends, no on-call

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with and support cardiac cath lab procedures including pacemaker/defibrillator lead extraction and Watchman procedures
  • Perform and assist with electrophysiology procedures including cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, cardioversion, arrhythmia induction, conduction studies, pacemaker insertion, AICD insertion/programming, and left atrial appendage (LAA) closure
  • Administer and monitor cardiac medications including antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, and thrombolytics
  • Obtain and interpret 12-lead EKG/ECG and manage dysrhythmias
  • Provide patient education with emphasis on lifestyle modifications and medication adherence
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to team collaboration efforts
Required Qualifications
  • Active RN license in Washington State or applicable Compact license
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working as an RN in an Electrophysiology (EP) Lab
  • Proficiency in cardiac cath lab and electrophysiology procedures as listed above
  • Experience with antiarrhythmic, antihypertensive, and thrombolytic medication administration
  • Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records (required)
  • Strong knowledge of dysrhythmia interpretation and management
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience in a heart and vascular clinic or similar specialty setting
  • Familiarity with quality improvement processes in a clinical environment
  • Strong patient education skills with cardiac populations
