StraitSys Inc Regular PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Senior Business Analyst leads business analysis, requirements management, and solution alignment activities supporting the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) Language Services Unit (LSU) modernization initiative. This individual partners with Government stakeholders and technical teams to define, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements throughout the system development lifecycle. The Senior Business Analyst ensures business needs are accurately translated into technical requirements, maintains end-to-end requirements traceability, and supports the delivery of solutions that align with mission objectives and operational needs. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Essential Functions
  • Lead requirements elicitation, analysis, validation, and documentation activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Government stakeholders to understand business objectives, operational workflows, and mission requirements.
  • Analyze current-state business processes and identify opportunities for process improvement and modernization.
  • Develop and maintain business requirements documents (BRDs), functional requirements, user stories, use cases, workflow diagrams, and process documentation.
  • Maintain end-to-end requirements traceability to ensure business requirements are reflected throughout design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to facilitate communication and solution alignment.
  • Support business process modeling, gap analysis, workflow analysis, and solution evaluation activities.
  • Participate in design reviews to ensure proposed solutions satisfy functional and business requirements.
  • Support test planning, user acceptance testing (UAT), and validation of implemented functionality.
  • Assist with change management, training, and user adoption activities to support successful solution implementation.
  • Identify risks, issues, and requirement changes that may impact project scope, schedule, or delivery.

  • Experience supporting Agile software development environments.
  • Knowledge of business process improvement and organizational change management principles.
Qualifications

Must be a US Citizen.

Must be able to successfully obtain and maintain the appropriate Department of Justice (DOJ) Public Trust Investigation (PTI) as required for the position.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and (9) years of relevant work experience.

Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.

Place of Performance

The principal place of performance will be EOIR Headquarters located in Falls Church, VA.
