Job Description

ETC has Asbestos Inspector/ Environmental Analyst opportunities available in Michigan! If you have a passion to make the world a safer, healthier place by preventing environmental hazards and protecting families, especially children, this may be the career for you.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with building inspection and the interpretation, application and enforcement of applicable codes and ordinances.
  • Complete asbestos and/or hazardous materials inspections and reporting.
  • Oversee and document asbestos and/or HAZMAT abatement operations
  • Complete post-abatement verification inspection and associated reporting
  • Environmental data management, compilation, and analysis.
  • Prepare samples for laboratory analysis, including Chain of Custody documentation
  • Speak with team members on a construction site, including the contractor and ownerโ€™s representatives.
  • Communicate with all entities keeping everyone fully informed.
  • Maintain equipment as required.
  • Understand and follow public health and safety requirements and the proper safety procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Experience with air monitoring, lead assessment/risk analysis and other industrial hygiene practices is a plus
  • Ability to verbally communicate and relay accurate information
  • Computer skills required
  • Must have attention to detail
  • Drive to succeed.
