Job description

Pay Rate: $16.56 Hourly
Full Time 40 hours

GENERAL SCOPE: Cleans and services the resident rooms, common spaces, work areas and any other assigned building areas.  Moves furniture and equipment as needed for cleaning. Perform a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain the Jewish Home in a sanitary, attractive and orderly condition.  Works under the direction of the Environmental Team Leader, Laundry Team Leader and Environmental Services Supervisor.

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION: Ability to read and write English. Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedule and prescribed methods to meet Jewish Home standards.
  • Observe and report any deficiencies of equipment, furniture or fixtures to the Team Leader.
  • In case of community disaster, assist Nursing personnel in making up extra beds and any other duties assigned.
  • Use equipment and chemicals for their intended purpose so as not to damage equipment and be in compliance. Ensure that tools and chemicals are properly stored so injury does not occur to self, residents, visitors or staff.
  • Follows all prescribed OSHA safety regulations relating to this position
  • All other duties as assigned
