12p-8:30p Monday-Friday

Pay Range:

$20.80 - $31.20Major Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates and processes the dispatching of EVS services by receiving calls, pages, emails, and online requests.
  • Manages EVS EPIC discharge flow and delegates tasks necessary to meet inpatient nursing, Emergency Department, Operating Room and Patient Access needs.
  • Records, monitors, updates and coordinates the incoming requests for the EVS team including stat/urgent requests, non-priority service requests and projects.
  • Understands EVS processes, procedures, and length of time needed for assistants and technicians to complete services.
  • Understands the facility layout and work flows to maximize productivity and work throughput.
  • Follows up with requests to ensure completion, as needed.
  • Communicates with supervisor regarding complex service requests.
  • Completes required forms and documentation, and maintains files, binders, call logs and other documents as required.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
  • None Required.

Education Required:
  • High School Graduate.

Experience Required:
  • Typically requires 3 years of experience in hospital Environmental Services at an assistant or tech level.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
  • Ability to follow and understand oral and written instructions and communicate with others.
  • Ability to set priorities, be aware of and follow department policies and procedures in all situations.
  • Ability to effectively use Epic, Excel, and Word programs.
  • Excellent customer service skills including communication by phone.
  • Knowledge of EVS responsibilities and work flows.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must have functional speech, vision, touch and hearing.
  • Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
