Job description

JOB PURPOSE:
To ensure organizational properties, ancillary office buildings, pharmacies, corporate assets, and other assigned properties are clean, well maintained, operationally ready, and compliant with applicable State, Federal, and PruittHealth standards. The Environmental Services Consultant will serve as the primary field consultant for non-healthcare assets while also providing support to healthcare centers and facility locations as needed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Ensure assigned ancillary office buildings, pharmacies, corporate assets, property locations, healthcare centers, and other facilities adhere to applicable rules, regulations, and guidelines established by State and Federal agencies and PruittHealth.
2. Prepare work schedules with assigned and dedicated times for visiting ancillary office buildings, pharmacy locations, corporate assets, property locations, healthcare centers, and other facilities on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis, with the expectation that the Consultant is in the field or traveling to assigned locations not less than 80% of the work week.
3. Complete Environmental Services Consultant checklists, assessments, and property condition reviews for each assigned office, pharmacy, corporate asset, property location, healthcare center, or facility visit, including creation of Work Orders in the building maintenance electronic platform (TELS) for completion by the appropriate facility maintenance director, property contact, or designated team member, and ensure timely completion of those Work Orders.
4. Promote and monitor usage of the building maintenance electronic platform (TELS) across assigned ancillary offices, pharmacies, corporate assets, property locations, healthcare centers, and facilities to ensure standards, expectations, and follow-up requirements are met.
5. Promote usage of Environmental Services Support/ServiceNow ticket request processes by ancillary offices, pharmacies, corporate assets, healthcare centers, and other facilities, and provide timely response, triage, and follow-up for requests requiring environmental services, maintenance, or property support.
6. Serve as the primary Environmental Services point of contact for ancillary office buildings, pharmacies, corporate assets, and property locations, coordinating routine inspections, issue escalation, vendor follow-up, and operational readiness activities.
7. Coordinate with property management, pharmacy leadership, corporate department leaders, facility administrators, AVPs, and Environmental Services leadership to identify recurring maintenance, housekeeping, safety, and presentation issues and recommend corrective action plans.
8. Maintain reporting for environmental services, property condition observations, work order status, recurring issues, and follow-up activity across assigned locations.
9. Communicate environmental, maintenance, property condition, and operational readiness issues in reporting form to the Administrator, AVP, Executive Director of Environmental Services, property leadership, pharmacy leadership, corporate leadership, and the home office for PruittHealth, as appropriate.
10. Assist with modification and development of written procedures, inspection standards, checklists, and escalation processes for the Environmental Services Division, including standards specific to ancillary office buildings, pharmacies, corporate assets, and property locations.
11. After completion of location visits or consultation with location team members, make recommendations to Administrators, AVPs, property leadership, pharmacy leadership, VP, and other applicable leaders regarding capital equipment needs, repair priorities, presentation improvements, vendor needs, and operational readiness items.
12. Participate in formal continuing education and on-the-job training for maintenance, housekeeping, laundry, property, pharmacy, and office support teams, as applicable.
13. Establish, maintain, and reinforce appropriate procedures for cleaning, presentation, sanitation, and general upkeep of assigned locations, including office, pharmacy, corporate, and healthcare settings.
14. Ensure appropriate preventive maintenance, routine upkeep, and follow-up are maintained for building systems, facility equipment, office support equipment, pharmacy support areas, and related property assets within the Consultants scope.
13. Establish and verify all procedures for the laundry division.
14. Develop procedures regarding Environmental Service needs in the Health Care Centers and other ancillary facilities.
17. Follow up on audit reports, property reviews, work order trends, leadership requests, and any request made by the Administrator, AVP, VP, Chief Development Officer, or other PruittHealth Executive Officer.
18. Educate and train assigned locations on PruittHealth GREENSWEEP standards, environmental services expectations, and presentation standards, and support locations in achieving and sustaining compliance with those standards.
19. Support the environmental services and property readiness needs of new locations, acquisitions, relocations, office openings, pharmacy locations, and other assigned assets.
20. Ensure Environmental Services staff, maintenance staff, and other designated location team members operate equipment in an efficient and safe manner, reporting unsafe conditions to the appropriate supervisor, Administrator, property contact, or leadership representative.
21. Establish and support required standards for linen, environmental chemicals, cleaning supplies, supplies management, and location-specific environmental services needs where applicable.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• 2 years experience in a physical plant operation.
• 2 years supervisory experience in housekeeping, laundry or maintenance department.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (Preferred qualifications)
• Vocational training in a skilled trade or other related technical training preferred.
• Knowledge of housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance practices.
• Experienced with cleaning materials and laundry chemicals/formulas.
• Knowledge of Federal, state and Pruitt policies and regulations involving fire, safety, and sanitation.
• Knowledge of linen requirements for all units of the facility.
• Ability to train personnel with varying skill levels.
• Basic Microsoft office capability.
• Experience with building maintenance software platform (TELS) preferred.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions correspondence and memos.
