Job description

Environmental Services Aide Position Summary

The Environmental Services Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in all areas of the hospital, including patient rooms, public areas, and offices. This role supports infection control and contributes to a positive patient experience through cleanliness and organization.

Essential Functions
  • Clean patient rooms, restrooms, lounges, offices, corridors, walls, and windows according to daily schedule.
  • Vacuum, sweep, mop, scrub, and shine floors; replenish paper and soap products; clean mirrors, sinks, and toilets.
  • Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor scrubbers.
  • Collect and remove trash from all areas of the facility daily.
  • Stock linens throughout the hospital to ensure unit readiness.
  • Adhere to all infection control policies and report safety hazards to supervisors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Information

Must maintain professionalism in interactions with patients, visitors, and staff.

Demonstrates attention to detail and the ability to follow cleaning protocols.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
