Their duties often include cleaning and disinfecting rooms, disposing of waste, and ensuring that environments meet health and safety standards. They play a crucial role in preventing the spread of illness and creating a safe, comfortable atmosphere for occupants. Environmental Service Workers may also be referred to as custodians, janitors, or housekeeping staff, depending on the setting.
