Job Description:
We have an immediate need within our Environmental Division to hire an Environmental Project Manager in the Due Diligence, Investigation and Remediation Group, based out of our Ballston Spa, NY office. This group provides a full range of environmental services from initial due diligence and site assessment through remediation and site closure.
This role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio of projects, including environmental due diligence, site investigation, and remediation projects under various regulatory programs. The successful candidate will work closely with internal leadership, direct junior staff regarding technical needs, manage client relationships, and contribute to the continued growth of LaBella's environmental and due diligence practice.
A successful candidate will be capable of managing multiple projects and clients simultaneously, preparing proposals and budgets, and ensuring high-quality technical deliverables that meet client and regulatory requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional seeking growth within a collaborative and expanding team environment. The applicant must have a minimum of three years of project management experience with one or more NYSDEC remedial programs (Spills, State Superfund, BCP, etc.).
Duties:
• Prepare cost estimates and proposals.
• Manage scope, schedule, and budget across multiple environmental projects.
• Oversee project teams to ensure work is completed accurately, on time, and within budget.
• Coordinate with clients, regulators, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare and review technical reports.
• Manage project finances and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with internal safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
• Conduct occasional field visits (limited travel required).
• Utilize MS Office Suite to support project execution and documentation.
Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 per year.
The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, Construction, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years of project management experience (assistant PM experience considered).
• Experience with environmental due diligence, site investigation, and remediation projects.
• Strong understanding of NYSDEC remedial programs and NYCRR Part 375 regulations.
• Experience preparing and managing environmental due diligence reports.
• Familiarity with Phase II ESAs, site investigations, remediation, and long-term monitoring programs.
• Proven ability to manage scope, schedule, budget, and invoicing across multiple concurrent projects.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification with current refresher.
