What You'll Do
- Safely collect, consolidate, and transport hazardous and regulated waste from client sites
- Ensure all materials are properly labeled, packaged, and documented in compliance with DOT, EPA, and OSHA regulations
- Perform site inspections to identify, characterize, and segregate waste streams
- Load/unload drums, containers, and bulk materials using safe handling practices
- Maintain accurate manifests, logs, and compliance documentation
- Operate service vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently
- Respond to spill cleanups and environmental incidents, supporting emergency response efforts
- Collect waste samples for profiling, classification, and regulatory compliance
- Coordinate transportation logistics to ensure timely and compliant waste movement
- Maintain clean, organized work environments and equipment
- Collaborate with internal teams and interact professionally with clients across R&D, pharmaceutical, and industrial facilities
What You Bring
- OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification (Required)
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions and handle physical, hands-on work
- Solid communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
Nice to Have (But Not Required)
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
- Any experience with hazardous waste management, environmental field work, or waste collection
- Familiarity with DOT, EPA, and OSHA regulations
- Experience with spill response or environmental incident management
- Knowledge of environmental sampling and waste profiling

This is a Permanent position based out of WANTAGH, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $23.00/hr.
