Position Summary           

The EHS intern will report directly to the Division EHS Manager.  The EHS Intern will work with different levels of organization, and with different functional areas to accomplish assigned tasks.  The working environment will be a mix working in an office setting and working in a production environment.  This internship is onsite for Fall/Winter 2026-2027 working no more than 15 hours/week. 

Essential Functions

  • Support existing, new and updated EHS programs and procedures to meet business unit EHS objectives and targets with an emphasis on safety incident prevention, regulatory compliance, ergonomics and resource conservation.

  • Support applicable EHS management systems, which may include chemical inventory, environmental management and other compliance assurance programs.

  • Support EHS reporting, which includes performance against targets and goals, and preparing reports for regulatory, corporate, group and customer reports.

  • Support an EHS training program, including delivering orientation and updating/revising training programs.

  • Support EHS cultural programs.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in:

    • Environmental Science/Engineering

    • Occupational Health & Safety 

    • Industrial/Chemical/Mechanical Engineering

    • Public Health or related field

  • Completion of at least sophomore year of college with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Ability to work collaboratively with employees at all levels.

  • Self-motivated, organized, and willing to be present on the shop floor/field as needed.
