ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Fieldwork such as environmental site assessments, indoor air, soil, soil vapor, surface water, and groundwater sampling and contractor oversight, aquifer testing, geophysical investigations, and remediation system O
- Assist in the development of site health and safety documents and abide by the same health and safety requirements when working in the field;
- Chemical data and contaminant fate & transport evaluation;
- Groundwater and soil remedy evaluation, cost estimation, and implementation;
- Aquifer testing and hydrogeologic data analyses;
- Environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance services, and permitting;
- Data analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures; and
- Preparation of technical reports including Phase Iโs, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.
EDUCATION AND LICENSURE
- Bachelor s degree in environmental science, geology, hydrogeology, hydrology, environmental, civil, or chemical engineering. (required)
- Advanced degree in environmental science, geology, hydrogeology, hydrology, or environmental engineering. (preferred)
- Ability and interest to obtain professional licensure in the State of California (Professional Geologist or Engineer). (preferred)
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior experience in environmental consulting. (preferred)
- Prior research experience in environmental sciences, geology, civil engineering, or another relevant engineering field.
- Permitting experience
- Phase I experience
- Compliance experience (Stormwater, Hazardous waste, etc.)
- Approximately 2-5 years of related experience
- Excellent writing and communication skills. (required)
- Ability to travel overnight on a limited basis
- Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred)
- Valid U.S. driver s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
