Position Summary
The Risk Analyst is responsible for resolving risk-related issues in a timely manner and conducting various tasks with the goal of mitigating risk and minimizing losses attributable to merchant processing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Access Risk systems daily and analyze merchants who exceed established risk parameters
  • Review risky transactions across multiple systems and payment types
  • Review whether to hold funds for review or process batches
  • Contact merchants and secure additional information as needed
  • Work with support teams to handle complex cases
  • Review Merchant Exceptions Reports
  • Review risk cases that come in via support (IE Parameter increases, bank changes, funding holds, and chargebacks)
  • Perform periodic reviews on all high risk and high-volume merchants
  • Analyze merchant trends and determine potential exposure
  • Take appropriate action where needed to resolve chargeback related problems

Requirements
Required Skills & Experience Competency in all Microsoft Office Suite programs Possess problem solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Ability to multi-task Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment Ability to use independent judgment in resolving various issues Ability to collaborate with team members and other departments as needed Understanding of Know Your Customer / Know Your business concepts Merchant acquiring knowledge Education and Experience: Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in merchant and/or payment experience in the financial, ISO or agent environment Knowledge: Risk and chargeback knowledge is a plus. Merchant acquiring & payment system processing is required (both ACH & Credit Card). PayFac knowledge is a plus. Experience with Fiserv is a plus Physical Requirements: Working Conditions: Call Center/Office environment. Physical Activities: Occasional standing, stooping, reaching and lifting up to 25 pounds.
