Job description

Metro is seeking a Recruiting Coordinator to provide administrative and technical support for the Metro Recruiting Team and maintain organized and effective processing of applicants and new hires in ATS and HRIS systems.
JOB DUTIES
  • Assist in the review of incoming applications for open positions, as well as set interview schedules with managers and prospective employees.
  • Assist in pre-employment testing and on-boarding which includes but is not limited to sending assessments, conducting reference checks, running background checks, tracking DOT and non-DOT physicals and drug test results, sending our new hire E-paperwork, and preparing new hire documents in employee folders.
  • Assist with New Hire Orientation
  • Use our applicant tracking system to properly move candidates through each stage of the hiring process as well as use our human resources information to appropriately push candidates through to hire.
  • Act as a backup to our ID/Badge system, creating new hire badges, modifying access for existing badges, and creating dependent passes.
  • Maintain HR shared drive and properly store all job descriptions and other documents as needed
  • Use resume databases and other platforms to conduct passive candidate outreach on as weekly basis as well as conduct passive candidate cold calls.
  • Coordinate and attend onsite hiring events and job fairs.
  • Act as point of contact for all job postings and accurately post jobs using our ATS
  • Support the Human Resources Department with additional job functions and special projects, as needed.
  • Model exemplary internal and external customer service.

Education
  • High School Diploma or GED
Experience
  • 2+ years of Recruiter Coordinator or recruiting experience needed
SKILLS amp; ABILITIES
Computer Skills
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, HRIS, web-based applications, internet and email.
Other Requirements
  • Excellent communications skills.
