Job description

NFI North provides mental health and behavioral support services to people facing life challenges. We design diverse and innovative programs that provide a high level of structure within communities of care when a person or family is in need. Our goal is for people to grow, have hope, thrive in their community and feel like they belong.
NFI North has an opening for a Program Director for our 10-bed Adult Program, located at 60 Ohio Street in Bangor, Maine. This program serves adults living with mental illness.
Miller Terraces is a behavioral health residential care facility that provides quality treatment services focused on mental health rehabilitation. Candidates must demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and management skills, as well as a genuine appreciation for supporting individuals as they work toward increased independence and an enhanced quality of life.
The Program Director is administratively and fiscally responsible for the overall operation of the program. This position also provides oversight of the program's clinical and medical staff. Administrative duties include budget oversight, payroll, scheduling, on-call, training oversight and facilitation of management and staff meetings. The program director is considered an integral part of the larger agency leadership team.
Qualifications include a preferred master's degree in human services, social work, psychology, or a related field, along with at least two years of supervisory experience in a residential setting serving individuals with mental health needs. A bachelor's degree will be considered for applicants with extensive leadership experience in the field. A Residential Care Administrator license is a plus.
