Bangor, Maine A respected 400-bed regional medical center seeks a full-time OB/GYN to join its hospital-employed Womens Health team in a dedicated HOSPITALIST/NOCTURNIST role. Physicians with a passion for inpatient care, high-acuity obstetrics, and emergent GYN surgery will find strong clinical support, cutting-edge facilities, and a collaborative environment. This physician-led medical center is part of Maines second-largest health system, offering financial stability, excellent specialty and referral networks, and a commitment to innovation and access.Physicians requiring J1 or H1b visa sponsorship are encouraged to apply. This is an equal opportunity employer.Join a respected team of 8 Physicians, 2 CNMs, and 2 NPs, supported by skilled sonographers, OR teams, and a Level III NICU. You will provide overnight coverage for triage, labor and delivery, antepartum, postpartum, ED consults, and emergent GYN surgeries. The delivery volume exceeds 1,600 births annually, with over 1,100 managed by this team. The medical center serves a population of over 500,000 people, many of whom travel 2+ hours to deliver in Bangor.Your schedule will average a dozen 14-hour night shifts per month. Extra night or day shifts are available for added compensation. Overnight support includes 24-hour anesthesia, on-site Level III NICU team, and phone consultations with the teams own Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists. Teaching opportunities are available through the on-site Family Medicine Residency Program and rotating medical students.You will practice in a recently completed $300 million hospital tower featuring a fully redesigned Women & Infants unit, private patient rooms, six updated labor & delivery suites, and two dedicated OB/GYN surgical theaters.
