Job Summary
Are you a dynamic, creative, detail-oriented, and community-focused individual? We are currently seeking eligible candidates for the Licensed Program Assistant role. Successful candidates will be able to organize, multitask, and communicate with our patron families with a high level of confidentiality. The ideal candidate should also possess a deep understanding of childcare licensing regulations and excellent methodologies.
We are currently hiring for the following location(s):
  • Claude Moore Recreation & Community Center, Sterling, Virginia, VA
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Provides administrative support to our licensed programs, including both preschool and childcare programs, with administrative support for special projects and various functions and meetings.
  • Gathers and handles program fees in line with defined processes and policies.
  • Ensures polite and timely customer service for County staff, vendors, residents, and other visitors; directs customers to the designated staff members.
  • Carries out designated special assignments either autonomously or as part of a group.
  • Maintains required program documentation.
  • Other essential job duties relevant to the role and department may be required.
Hiring salary commensurate with experience.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent and one (1) year of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in utilizing the ePACT software application.
  • Ability to use RecTrac software proficiently.
  • Proficiency in utilizing the Brightwheel software application.
  • Spanish-speaking preferred

Job Contingencies and Special Requirements
Must undergo criminal background, credit, Child Protective Services (CPS), and DMV checks. A valid driver's license and good driving record are required. Annual reviews of driving records may be conducted to confirm continued qualification. Within 30 days of hire, fingerprints and TB tests must be performed. First Aid/CPR certification must be obtained within four months of hire or at the time of hire.
