Job Description
Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking an Environmental, Occupational Health, and Safety Administrator for a direct hire opportunity with an advanced manufacturing company in Hillsboro, OR. The EOH&S Administrator will provide strategic direction, governance, and oversight for all EOH&S programs including continuous improvement projects.
Pay:
$110k/year
EOH&S Administrator Responsibilities:
  • Direct, oversee, and evaluate the management of assigned EOH&S programs (environmental compliance, occupational safety, hazardous materials, and loss control) to ensure Coordinators maintain ongoing compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Provide regulatory interpretation, governance, and oversight for OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001/45001, and other applicable requirements; review program gaps and approve corrective and preventive action strategies developed by Coordinators.
  • Oversee facility inspections, risk assessments, and internal audits conducted by Coordinators; evaluate findings, prioritize risk at the facility level, and ensure timely and effective closure of corrective actions.
  • Review, guide, and approve investigations of incidents, injuries, near misses, and environmental events led by Coordinators; validate root cause analyses and corrective actions for effectiveness and sustainability.
  • Direct and govern the Health & Safety Management System, Environmental Management System, Global Harmonized System (GHS), and Hazard Communication Program, ensuring consistent implementation and alignment with regulatory and business requirements.
  • Approve and evaluate EOH&S training strategies and program content developed by Coordinators to ensure regulatory compliance, workforce competency, and alignment with facility risk profiles.
  • Oversee hazardous material and waste management programs, including vendor strategy, regulatory documentation, and compliance assurance within Coordinator-managed scopes.
  • Serve as the escalation point for EOH&S program issues, providing guidance to Coordinators and leadership on risk mitigation, compliance expectations, and operational impacts.
  • Analyze facility-wide EOH&S records, metrics, and performance trends; report compliance status, risks, and improvement opportunities to site and corporate leadership and drive strategic continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor and develop EOH&S staff; support capability building and succession planning.

EOH&S Administrator Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in EOH&S or related field required.
  • 8+ years of progressive EOH&S experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001/45001, and applicable international regulations.
  • Demonstrated leadership, strategic planning, and regulatory interface experience.
  • Professional certifications (CSP, CIH, HAZWOPER) preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate with all levels of personnel.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local ordinances on fire safety and prevention, loss control, hazardous chemicals, building, electrical, noise pollution, and the environment.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, conflict resolution, and team-building skills.
  • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills.
  • Proficient PC skills are required, including experience with the Microsoft Office Suite.
