Lab Technician – Manufacturing | Asbury, NJ

Hiring through Infinitek on behalf of a leading materials manufacturer

2nd Shift Mon-Fri - 2pm-10pm- $1.15 shift differential


Infinitek is partnering with a well-established, industry-leading materials manufacturer that supplies high-performance carbon products across a range of industries. They are seeking a Lab Technician to join their dedicated team at their Asbury, NJ facility.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in laboratory testing or quality control or recently graduated who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced production environment. About the Role

As a Lab Technician, you’ll be part of a small, high-performing lab team ensuring product quality and process consistency across multiple shifts. You’ll conduct a range of physical and chemical tests, maintain laboratory equipment, and play a key role in supporting production quality.


Key Responsibilities of Lab Technician

  • Perform quality control tests to verify chemical and physical properties of materials.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory instruments, including balances, sieves, furnaces, particle analyzers, and moisture meters.
  • Prepare and process material samples from production lines (drying, grinding, splitting, etc.).
  • Record, analyze, and report test data using Microsoft Excel and internal systems.
  • Ensure all materials meet specifications before shipment; identify and isolate non-conforming products.
  • Support administrative quality tasks including certificates of analysis, customer sample requests, and ERP data entry.
  • Maintain a clean, safe laboratory environment and adhere to company safety standards.
  • Provide backup support for other quality and documentation functions as needed.
